Position Summary

The Recycling Line Supervisor is responsible for overseeing employees immediate work on the line, and to ensure goals set by the company are met.

 

Hiring Range: $18-$20 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishes and maintains a high level of professionalism and monitors line operations to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards of the company.
  • Coordinates with Operations Manager and Operations Supervisor to address issues and safety concerns immediately.
  • Schedules and conducts shift meetings to ensure that staff members understand daily objectives and output requirements.
  • Manages proper staffing levels daily by checking sick leaves, forecasted employee vacation time and unanticipated absences.
  • Provides quality training and supervision to the production staff to ensure everyone is following standard operating procedures for maximum efficiency.
  • Recommends improvements in quality processes
  • Ensures the cleanliness and appearance of the processing line
  • Completes regular preventative maintenance and inspections of processing equipment.
  • Ensures adherence to all accident prevention programs and safety regulations
  • Maximizes daily productivity and material quality to increase efficiencies and value.
  • Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values. 

Education, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 1-3 years of industrial operations and manufacturing experience, a minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience operating various types of equipment. A valid driver’s license, and a physical ability to lift 30lbs frequently, lifting up to 65lbs. several times a day and to stand for up to 8 hours a day is necessary. Although not required, a technical school education with a focus on industrial arts and a valid CDL license or the ability to attain one are preferred.

 

Excellent listening, verbal and written communication and problem solving skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Equipment operation skills (forklift, box truck, grinder) and knowledge of lock out tag out procedures are desired.
