Position Summary

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for planning, executing and managing content and marketing projects to create brand awareness, generate positive sentiment and support the overall business objectives. This role will contribute to creating marketing materials while coordinating company-wide participation in relevant corporate, community engagement and recruiting events and activities to ensure the successful fostering of the Casella brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists with planning and executing marketing events, such as trade shows, community sponsorship marketing needs, and company-wide events and manages event logistics and on-site operations to ensure event success.
  • Manages the process to coordinate and organize Casella’s participation in company signature events that promote and celebrate the company brand and culture.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to help define marketing project and initiative scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines and key performance indicators (KPIs) and acts as a liaison between the moving parts of various projects to ensure timeliness, adequate project resources and successful completion.
  • Participates in the development of content strategies that align with marketing targets and company goals and maintains a content and production calendar to ensure these deadlines are met.
  • Evaluates, manages, prioritizes, and communicates the status of ongoing projects, identifying bottlenecks or risks and manages expectations as needed to ensure the timely delivery of marketing campaigns, projects and events.
  • Coordinates with vendors, agencies, and internal teams to manage workflows and resources and ensures the smooth execution of marketing activities.
  • Performs research and explores marketing tactics to stay current with developments and generate new ideas to capture the attention of various target audiences.
  • Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services, and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field with 1-2 years of progressive experience in marketing, event coordination and execution, copywriting, and the ability to travel as needed. Experience in content development and distribution across multiple media and platforms and the demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment are desired.

Excellent writing and research skills, experience with digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads and Facebook Ads, as well as proficiency in various digital marketing tools. Strong organizational and time management skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and marketing software is essential, as is the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
