Position Summary

The Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for evaluating and optimizing our supplier performance and logistics. The incumbent will assess the efficiency of our vendors, schedule projects, analyze cost structures, and study competitor behavior.

Salary range: $ 56,000-$ 70,000, depending on experience. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing effective communication channels with customers, vendors, suppliers, and shipping companies.
  • Working knowledge of Strategic sourcing agreements and strategy to negotiate better pricing and service.
  • Negotiates terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with vendors for the services to meet desired outcomes, while maintaining integrity and ethical relationships.
  • Responds to requests for support from Account Managers and all internal and external customers in a timely manner.
  • Manages the resolution of challenges with vendors and is responsible for negotiating rebates.
  • Supports the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and process improvements with guidance from the Strategic Sourcing Manager.
  • Creates bid packages and performs bid analysis, reviews findings, and makes recommendations with assistance from Account Managers.
  • Utilizes knowledge of the sourcing field to manage resources, prioritize tasks, guide workflows, provide guidance to team members, and adheres to project deadlines and time constraints to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values. 
  • Ensures compliance with all company, state, and federal policies, regulations and laws regarding employment and employee safety.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree and/or 6+ years of progressive experience in supply chain or vendor relations, experience in strategic sourcing and evaluating procurement metricsa, a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment, and a history of strong organizational qualities and attention to detail.


Excellent verbal, digital and written communication, organizational and planning skills are required. Proficient use of MS Office 365 and related platforms (PowerPoint and related presentation platforms) and an expert level knowledge of Excel. Although not required, experience in procurement application (Coupa) is preferred.
