Position Summary

As the Manager of Business Intelligence (BI), you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing the BI strategy, leveraging data to drive informed decision-making, and ensuring data integrity and accuracy. This role requires expertise in BI tools and data visualization, as well as a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights. You will work closely with key business stakeholders to develop the strategy, prioritize demand, and build and manage a multi-year roadmap to support the company’s BI objectives. You will be responsible for leading a department of functional and technical resources, including third-party vendors, to successfully deliver and support BI initiatives.

Hiring range: this is a bonus-eligible position with a base salary of $130k-$160k

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and execution of the organization's BI strategy, aligning it with business goals and objectives
  • Oversees data analysis activities, including data mining, trend analysis, and predictive modeling, to extract actionable insights and support decision-making
  • Creates and manages comprehensive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that provide stakeholders with timely, relevant, and accurate information
  • Establishes and maintains data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manages a team of BI professionals, including data analysts and developers, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Leverages Artificial Intelligence to enhance data analysis by using machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP) to automate insights, predict trends, and enable self-service analytics, transforming raw data into faster, more accessible strategic decisions for all users, beyond just data experts

Education, Experience & Qualifications

 

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Power BI and other BI tools, with the ability to design and implement complex data visualizations. They should possess solid data analysis skills, including data mining and SQL, and experience with ETL processes is a plus. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate across teams, present insights to executives, and promote a data‑driven culture. Candidates should also understand data governance best practices, data quality management, and data privacy compliance.

Applicants must have at least five years of experience in Business Intelligence, enterprise reporting, or data warehousing, along with at least three years of team leadership or management experience. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related field is required, though equivalent IT experience will be considered. An advanced degree and BI or data analytics certifications are preferred. Candidates must also be legally eligible to work in the United States.
