Position Summary

The Sales Account Specialist develops sales materials and implements account strategies to support the Resource Solutions Business Development team in creating additional sales opportunities and ensuring new and existing nationwide industrial, institutional, commercial, and municipal business accounts receive excellent service and innovative solutions to meet their unique needs.

Hiring Range: $52,000 - $60,0000

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as the key liaison between Strategic Account Managers, Business Development, and internal support teams to gather deal structure and pricing details, ensure accurate setup in CORE/AMCS and related systems, and facilitate clear exchange of customer information to support accurate invoicing.
  •  Partners with Sourcing and Vendor Relations to obtain service cost details and ensure accurate cost setup in CORE, AMCS, and related systems, improving AP reconciliation efficiency and invoice accuracy.
  • Researches, finalizes, and organizes Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, presentations and associated materials ensuring information is complete and accessible, including qualifying new vendors and outlets as directed. 
  • Consolidates customer pricing, services, and vendor cost details into standardized formats for efficient entry into CORE, AMCS, and related systems by Sales Support Specialists.
  •  Retrieves and organizes required customer information while managing both the CRM and SharePoint contract databases to ensure stakeholders have reliable access to accurate sales data, activities, reports, fully executed agreements, and supporting documentation.
  • Troubleshoots invoicing issues by analyzing root causes, gathering required information, and consolidating solutions into formats that enable accurate entry into CORE, AMCS, and related systems by Sales Support Specialists.
  • Prepares and delivers clear Excel-based analyses of service and financial data—such as YTD tonnage summaries, equipment spend, unit conversions, and actuals vs. proforma performance—to help Account Managers address customer inquiries and support business reviews.
  • Manages the Price Increase process for Divisions and third-party partners, while partnering with Strategic Account Managers to provide account servicing, pricing and profitability insights, and coordinating customer appointments to support service needs.
  • Collaborates with Business Development Managers and Strategic Account Managers in developing prospecting opportunities in specific geographies and develops sales correspondence for customers to generate interest, future opportunities, and meetings.
  • Partners with the Business Development team to create a central repository for inbound new‑account work, monitor FDA and related sites to prevent lost business, and prepare qualification and content packages for new opportunities, organizing all supporting materials in SharePoint for easy access and reduced redundancy.
  • Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, a history of succeeding in collaborative environments, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel occasionally. Formal training or coursework in writing, marketing, or communications, direct sales or sales coordination experience and experience or interest in an environmental or sustainability field is preferred.

Excellent verbal, digital, and written communications skills, strong organizational and planning skills, proficiency in the use of Office 365 and related platforms and an understanding of social media communication strategies and tactics are expected.
