The Route Supervisor is responsible for directing the daily activities of drivers and helpers in order to provide safe, effective ad courteous waste collection services to customers. The incumbent will ride with a driver during his/her scheduled route to identify opportunities for enhanced operating efficiencies, accurate billing, opportunities for increases in service and potential safety hazards.
Starting Salary Range of $70,000 to $75,000 per year
The Dispatcher communicates with drivers to assist with problem resolution while on route for residential, commercial, and roll-off services, coordinates the utilization of drivers, trucks, and containers to create capacity, maximize productivity and ensure prompt, courteous and efficient service for all customers. The incumbent will cross-train in the scale house to provide support to the scale operators.

The Scale Operator will have split responsibility between multiple Drop Off locations as needed to be the face of the facility, is responsible for weighing inbound and outbound materials at the facility, processing outbound Bill of Ladings and ensuring that material is being loaded into the vehicle correlates with the release number provided by the hauler.

The CDL Driver Trainee will obtain a Commercial Driving Permit and complete the Federally required CDL instruction and training to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle providing service to customers in their respective Line of Business (LOB) while working alongside a knowledgeable Casella Waste Driver Trainer. The incumbent will continue in the apprentice role until all training requirements are completed and they have passed the CDL licensing exam and road test. Service areas include Burlington, South Burlington, Williston, Essex Junction, Georgia, Milton, St. Albans and Colchester VT markets.
